19/01/21 - Writing a story
19/01/2021Miss Adams recaps the beginning, middle and end of a story and then uses her plan to write her own. Watch how Miss Adams writes her story then have a go at writing your own story. Do not worry if words are not spelled correctly, the focus is to build confidence and independence in using phonics in writing. You will need a piece of paper, a pencil and your plan from yesterday to help you.

Listening and drawing game
Draw along with Miss Adams, listening carefully to the instructions. All you need is paper and a pencil. Can you guess what you are drawing before we finish?
3D shape hunt
Watch the video with a grown up so that they can help you count the faces, edges and vertices of 3D shapes. Find 4 to 6 objects in your house that you can identify the shape of. Use the sheet provided or create your own to record your findings.
Dinosaur Shape Poem
A shape poem written by Miss Adams. Have a go at writing your own shape poem about any dinosaur, animal or object. There are dinosaur outlines available on the work at home sheet.
